The CESAM project has officially opened its Call for Projects, providing funding opportunities for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Catalonia, Occitania, and the Balearic Islands. This initiative is designed to foster innovation and collaboration, driving sustainable advancements in the agrifood sector.
SMEs can access the application guidelines and submission portal on the CESAM website. All the application process will be made through the official dedicated platform. The application period is open until February 19, 2024.
Funding Opportunities for SMEs
SMEs can apply for funding under two distinct schemes. Open Innovation Projects (Individual Projects: One SME can receive up to €30,000, Regional Projects: Collaboration between at least two SMEs from the same region, with funding of up to €50,000, Interregional Projects: Joint efforts by at least two SMEs from different regions, eligible for funding up to €70,000) and Identified Challenges: SMEs can also tackle 10 specific challenges proposed by CESAM partners, with tailored funding for each challenge.
Key Areas of Focus
Projects and challenges must address one of the following topics of the CESAM projects: Industrial water treatment and recycling, eco-conception of packaging, process optimization and waste reduction, valorization of co-products.

To facilitate collaboration, CESAM offers a Matchmaking page, where SMEs can share their project ideas and connect with potential partners across regions.
