Besides SMEs, can universitites and research centers participate in the project?

Not a university, but for research centers it depends on whether they are considered an SME or not (please do an SME self-assessment test here). Universities or research centers that are not SMEs could, however, participate as subcontractors.

To find out if we fit with any project of “Identified Challenges” to whom should we address? to the company or to the Call for projects organiser?

First contact must be done to regional contact point depending on the region of the applicant SME (please see the Contacts section).

Should the SMEs be at TRL6 and end at TRL9, or how?

No, an SME could start at TRL 6 can end at TRL 7 or start at TRL 7 and end at TRL9 (for example). The objective is to help an SME with minimum TRL 6 to reach a higher TRL.

Is this Call for project subject to MINIMIS?

No.

Can SMEs outside the three regions that are part of the CESAM project apply?

Only SMEs from Catalonia, Balearic Islands and Occitanie can apply. However, SMEs located outside but that have an operating site within one of the 3 regions can apply if the project is implemented in this operating site.

If a company wants to address two of the topics, is it more interesting to submit two applications or a single project that addresses both topics?

It depends on your project. A maximum of 2 projects can be submitted for a same SME. In any case and independantly of the number of applications, an SME can receive more than 60.000€.

Can an solution provider be subcontracted in different projects?

Yes.

Approximately, how many SMEs are expected to receive funds?

It depends on various factors, if there is more applications in individual or collaborative projects. We expected to fund in total around 30 SMEs both in open projects and challenges.
