CESAM carries out follow-up visit to the OpenCeres project in Ibiza

  • by

CESAM continues its monitoring visits to projects funded through its cascade funding system. On this occasion, it visited Terra Viva Ibiza, where the OpenCeres project is being developed, with Flutilliant as a partner.

OpenCeres@TVI is an initiative aimed at improving irrigation efficiency in agricultural areas affected by water stress. The project develops an open-source digital platform that integrates field sensor data and open data sources, generating decision-support indicators to optimise water use without compromising productivity.

During the visit, it was highlighted that Terra Viva is testing Flutilliant’s technology under real conditions, following a participatory approach that includes validation with farmers and an educational component linked to regenerative agriculture through micro-credentials.

Within the framework of CESAM, training content is also being developed based on this platform, which will later be integrated into a practical online course focused on sensors, data, and decision-making in agriculture.

These materials are designed for future scalability and multilingual dissemination, enabling knowledge transfer across different agricultural contexts.
