Interregional CESAM secondment drives innovation and circularity

The CESAM project carried out a secondment activity on October 2nd in ParcBit (Palma), aimed at fostering exchanges between staff from partner institutions and study visits.

On this occasion, the exchange took place between two of CESAM’s institutional partners, Fundació Bit and ACCIÓ, with the participation of the Euroregion Pyrénées-Méditerranée. The goal was to share best practices and tools to support companies in the development of their innovation projects. During the day, participants met with representatives from the General Directorate of Innovation, who presented the status of the Regional Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialization (RIS3) in the Balearic Islands, and learned about the work and new sustainability challenges of the Balearic Institute of Energy (IBE), thereby strengthening collaboration between institutions and the innovation ecosystem across the Balearic Islands and Mediterranean regions.

Exchanges were also held with the Fundació BIT innovation team, focusing on their advisory services for innovative companies. Participants had the opportunity to visit the ParcBit technology entrepreneurship incubator and learn about its support program for entrepreneurs (Emprenbit). ACCIÓ, for its part, presented its support program for companies in the green economy and its work on sustainability topics.

Later, participants visited the facilities of Trueworld Organization, based at ParcBit, which uses real-time monitoring with Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence to provide accurate data solutions on climate change and sustainability.

This secondment activity represents another step in CESAM’s commitment to promoting innovation, sustainability, and the circular economy, fostering cooperation among partners and mutual learning.
