EPM is an European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC), a legal public entity defined in the framework of European Regulation (EU) No 1302/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17/12/2013 amending Regulation (EC) No 1082/2006. EPM acts as a cooperative political body representing the region of Occitania in France, the Government of Catalonia and the Government of the Balearic Islands in Spain. As a EGTC its objective is to foster cross-border, trans-national and inter-regional cooperation. EPM is a cooperation pole committed to working on the 3 regions’ shared challenges in areas such as Innovation, Higher Education and Research, Environment, Culture and Tourism. The EPM coordinates and participates in various EU projects, in particular within the Life and Interreg programs. EPM’s secretariat also manages several calls for projects with high cross-national and cross-border value and impact.
